The Excelsior Hotel Gallia boasts 235 luxuriously appointed rooms, with over 50 of them being suites. At a thousand square meters, the Katara Royal Suite is the largest suite among all Italian hotels.
Founded in 1932 by the Milanese Gallia family, the facade of the building is a majestic example of Belle Époque architecture, with elaborate decorative elements and a wrought iron entrance, which coexists with the modern and elegant interiors.
The play of contrasts is inspired by the hotel’s luminous past and the emerging skyline of the Porta Nuova area. Guests are greeted at the entrance by a spectacular 30 meter high Murano glass chandelier created by De Majo. The historic hall pays homage to the incredible Milanese architecture of the 1930s.

The Terrazza Gallia located on the 7th and top floor, is famous in the city for the cuisine of the Lebano brothers, now much loved in the city, who work under the guidance of the Cerea family, three Michelin stars.
Guests can choose between two tasting menus: Mediterranean and Vegetable Mediterranean, as well as the great Milanese classics and iconic dishes paying homage to Da Vittorio’s cuisine.
The menu is attentive to sustainability, understood as attention and respect for small producers, to the construction of lasting relationships over time, without forgetting the no waste which is found, for example, in the “Poverty and nobility” dish with atturrato bread and caviar, or even in their signature, where the coral sauce is made using the head of red prawns and stale bread.
The Gallia Lounge is an ideal spot for an afternoon meeting or, simply, a break from the city. Enjoy a casual coffee, tea, light Italian fare and traditional aperitivo.
The Cigar Lounge is artfully designed with cigar and cognac connoisseurs in mind. Since its opening, Excelsior Hotel Gallia has nurtured a tradition of recreating the classic smoking rooms.

Among the most spacious Suites in Italy, the four-bedroom Katara Royal has a typically Milanese majesty, along with two large panoramic terraces on the seventh floor of the Gallia, with solarium, pagoda-style spa, Jacuzzi and steam shower with chromotherapy.
A private elevator leads directly to the Suite, where a large living room with marble flooring houses the dining room and sitting room furnished with modern B&B Italia furnishings and Murano glass chandeliers. In the living room, elegant furnishings define the environment together with important technological accessories.
The elegant dining room can accommodate up to fifteen people. The kitchen is fully equipped, stocked with Limoges porcelain and French glassware.
